ANSWER: No, the internet is not the place to learn to do procedures on your animal! Your vet's office is, and they should be able to show you at your next visit exactly how it is done and prescribe for your pet how often it should be done (which can be very individual). I am always concerned with owners doing procedures on their own pets as they are not equipped with the knowledge nor the necessary equipment should problems/complications arise. Make sure you do it once (or several times) in front of your vet so that the vet can check the animal and make sure it was done correctly. Good luck!
