Question: Five year old Boxer who sporadically vomits. Vomit is either dog food or is yellow slime. When about to vomit, dog gags and eats grass and other green vegetation. Problem started three years ago. Vet recommended lamb and rice diet. Boxer eats Neura lamb and rice dog food canned mixed with Nutros lamb and rice dry. Vet has x-rayed stomach and no blockage found. Assuming from your question that an xray was all that was done for diagnostics--may I suggest an ultrasound, possible biopsy of the intestinal tract, blood testing, allergy testing, etc. If you really want to know the best way treat your animal is to obtain a diagnosis so proper treatment can be implemented.
