Question: The dog always gets car sick, even on very short rides. What can be done to make her a more successful passenger? Thanks for your help

ANSWER: First, try not to feed her 1-2 hours prior to leaving--water is always ok. Second, try to take her on short trips of 5-10 mins. and try to make it so she can see out of the window (though some animals do better with NOT being able to see out of the window). There are products that your veterinarian can prescribe if all else fails, but generally I see this problem improve with age (though some may be car-sick for life!).
