Question: I have an 18 year old Siamese cat. He has suffered from respiratory problems for the past year or so. His asthma seems to be under control lately. However, he sneezes constantly. The vet has given him antibiotics for this problem. He improves, but only temporarily. Today, I noticed his body seemed very warm What can I do? ,

ANSWER: Sneezing can be caused by so many things from allergies, primary/secondary bacterial infections, fungal infections, foreign objects inside the nose, tumors, and even severe tooth decay (abscess formation) at the tooth root. It sounds like you might want to go in to your veterinarian for more testing, maybe xrays, endoscopy (looking into the nasal cavity with a scope), more cultures, or even different trials of different medications--antihistamines, steroids, nasal drops, etc. If the cat seems warm to the touch, take it to your veterinarian immediately. You don't want to mess around if the cat has a fever. Good luck! (See how to take a dog's temperature under question number 2--it is the same process and temperature range for a cat!!).
