Question: The corner of my cats eyes seem to be coming over the eye , like a covering; c it is not cataracts. Do you know what it could be?

ANSWER: Without examining the cat to be sure what you are describing, I will assume that you are talking about the "third eyelid" that is present in the cat's eye closest to the nose and that it is coming up over the eye. This third eyelid is a protective lid that has tear ducts and produces some of the film that they eye needs to stay moist. Also, in cats with an underlying illness, this third eyelid gland can protrude. I suggest you take your cat in immediately to a veterinarian, as there may be some underlying illness (feline leukemia, feline infectious peritonitis, feline immunodeficiency virus, upper respiratory tract infections, etc) and many more problems (including a foreign object stuck between this third eyelid and the surface of the eye). Don't delay!!!
