Chocolate is toxic to dogs!

Theobromine is the active ingredient in chocolate that is toxic to dogs. Unsweetened chocolate contains about 8 times as much theobromine than milk chocolate therefore it is more toxic Caffeine is also toxic to dogs and also present in chocolate. Chocolate toxicosis will result in vomiting, diarrhea, hyperactivity, ataxia(stumling), heart arrhythmias (abnormal rhythms), abnormal heart rates, fever, seizures, coma and death. Please keep all chocolate away from your animals and out of their reach!!! Especially be careful this time of year when there tends to be more of it around.....
